Local people, including residents, local elected representatives and other stakeholders, have an important role to play throughout this consultation. We need your views and knowledge as we work to develop our final proposals.

This consultation will run from 14th October to 19th November 2024.

This is a statutory round of consultation meaning it’s a required part of the government’s planning process for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, as per the Planning Act 2008. You can find out more about the planning process on the Planning Inspectorate’s website.

We would like your feedback on:

• The Draft Environmental Statement we have published as part of this consultation.
• New options at the Higher Walton and Partington HAGIs.
• Updated Block Valve Installation locations.
• The alternative route options we are presenting avoiding the former Fiddlers Ferry Power Station.
• Other modifications, additional and reductions to the area we are proposing.
• Any other feedback you may have on our proposals.
